BESPOKE WILDERNESS PORTRAIT EXPERIENCES
FOR TRAILBLAZERS WHO DON’T DO STATUS QUO
WHAT WE DO
Amber & Earth designs intentional outdoor experiences for people and their dogs, shaped by deep local knowledge, clear intention, and respect for the landscape.
Each experience is planned around you and your dog. There is no rigid itinerary, and instead we work with a loose structure that gives the day direction while leaving space for curiosity, presence, and the unexpected.
Some experiences stay close to home, while others venture farther afield into landscapes that define the broader character of the region. What matters is not distance but meaning.
Each experience is paired with a finished piece of art that distills the story and feeling of the day into something lasting, crafted to be lived with, not simply looked at.
ABOUT
I’m Liz Dranow, the 2025 Intermountain Photographer of the Year and founder of TimePunk Pet Photography. For more than 35 years, Utah’s wild terrain has been both my home and my classroom. I’ve spent the last decade photographing the bond between people and their dogs, one honest moment at a time.
This work lives at the intersection of instinct and intention. My approach is shaped by years on the trail, an understanding of canine rhythm, and a trained sensitivity to light, texture, and timing.
Each experience unfolds in rhythm with the land. You’re guided by someone who sees the moment before it happens, and knows how to shape it into something enduring.

HOW IT WORKS
A guided, personalized experience from first contact to finished artwork.
-
You reach out and share what’s calling you: your dog, your bond, and the landscapes that feel like home. I listen closely and begin crafting an experience built entirely around the two of you from that very first message.
-
We have a focused conversation where we map out the essentials, including your dog’s energy, your comfort level, the terrain that excites you, and the story you want to tell. This is where the adventure begins to take shape with intention and clarity.
-
I design a custom itinerary informed by weather, light, season, access, pacing, and your goals. It’s structured enough to guide the day while staying flexible enough to leave room for the unexpected moments you’ll want to remember.
-
We step into the chosen terrain and let the day unfold naturally. Your dog sets the rhythm while I guide the flow, manage the technical details, and anticipate the quiet, unscripted moments that reveal genuine connection and real wilderness.
-
Within about ten days, you receive a curated proofing gallery. Together, we select the images that best reflect your dog’s personality, your bond, and the landscape you explored, distilling the experience into its strongest and most meaningful frames.
-
Your chosen images are transformed into handcrafted artwork that is made to last and made to be lived with. I manage every detail of production and delivery so the only thing left for you to do is enjoy the final pieces in your home.
WHAT TO EXPECT
DESIGNED AROUND YOU
Clarity in the process. Calm in the details. A sense of wonder from start to finish.
This isn’t a preset itinerary. It’s a portrait experience shaped by your pace, your dog’s rhythm, and the landscapes that speak to you. Every detail begins with that connection.
QUIET EXPERTISE
I manage timing, terrain, and light so you don’t have to. With decades in Utah’s wild places and a camera trained for nuance, I guide the experience while you stay present in it.
WHAT REMAINS
Albums, framed prints, custom artwork. Whatever you choose, it’s created to feel like your story, not a template. Each piece is crafted to last, shaped by place and presence.
Each experience is custom-built to reflect your story, your companion, and the places that move you. I handle the planning, scouting, and timing so you can focus on being present.
Experiences begin at $4,800. Most families invest between $6,500 and $15,000 in artwork that brings their experience home. Heirloom albums, handcrafted prints, and large-scale pieces are designed to be lived with and loved for years to come.
There are no preset collections. Only meaningful choices, expert guidance, and artwork that belongs entirely to you.
EXPERIENCE & ARTWORK
Crafted with care. Created for legacy. Inspired by the land.
